Ripple Prime Expands Brevan Howard Relationship With Multi-Asset Prime Brokerage Services

Ripple and Brevan Howard have expanded their relationship, with Ripple Prime set to provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds managed by the global alternative investment manager.

The expanded agreement gives Brevan Howard access to Ripple Prime’s services across multiple asset classes and products through a unified platform designed to improve capital efficiency and simplify operations.

Ripple said the relationship reflects increasing demand among institutional investment managers for prime brokerage infrastructure capable of supporting both traditional and digital markets within a regulated, enterprise-grade framework.

Brevan Howard specializes in global macro and digital assets and manages approximately $35 billion for institutional investors around the world. Its client base includes sovereign wealth funds, corporate and public pension plans, foundations and endowments.

The firm employs approximately 1,000 people representing more than 40 nationalities and maintains offices in locations including Abu Dhabi, Austin, Geneva, Hong Kong, Jersey, London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo.

Through Ripple Prime, Brevan Howard’s investment teams will have access to prime brokerage, clearing and financing capabilities through a single cross-asset platform.

The companies are positioning the expanded relationship around the increasing convergence of traditional financial markets and digital assets. As institutional investors participate across both areas, Ripple and Brevan Howard see growing demand for infrastructure that can reduce operational complexity while allowing capital to be deployed more efficiently.

Ripple Prime forms part of Ripple’s broader institutional financial infrastructure business. Ripple provides payments, custody, prime brokerage and treasury management services and operates with more than 85 licenses.

Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD and digital asset XRP also underpin parts of its infrastructure as the company seeks to connect traditional financial systems with digital asset markets.

The latest agreement builds on an existing relationship between the companies.

Funds managed by affiliates of Brevan Howard participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment in 2025. Ripple said that participation reflected Brevan Howard’s confidence in the company’s growth trajectory and long-term strategy.

For Ripple, expanding the Brevan Howard relationship also represents an opportunity to demonstrate the cross-asset capabilities of Ripple Prime with a major institutional alternative investment manager.

Brevan Howard, meanwhile, expects Ripple’s infrastructure to provide its investment teams with greater operational ease as digital and traditional markets become increasingly interconnected.
