Robertson Stephens Wealth Management has combined with Milwaukee-based Alpha Investment Consulting Group, expanding its institutional consulting capabilities and increasing the firm’s assets under management to more than $10 billion.
The transaction adds a six-person institutional advisory team led by industry veteran Bob Bukowski, who joins Robertson Stephens as Managing Director and Principal. Bukowski will establish the firm’s newest office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Joining him are Patrick Pierce, Tony Jones, Dan Strasser, Julia Ramer, and Bailey Jordan. The team brings decades of experience advising foundations, endowments, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, corporations, and other institutional investors.
Robertson Stephens said the combination broadens its capabilities beyond traditional private wealth management and creates additional opportunities to serve organizations whose board members and investment committee participants may already have relationships with the firm.
Bukowski has spent his career working with institutional clients on investment strategy and fiduciary oversight. His team focuses on helping organizations align investment portfolios with long-term goals, organizational missions, and fiduciary responsibilities.
The addition also strengthens Robertson Stephens’ presence in the Upper Midwest while expanding its institutional consulting platform nationally.
Following the combination, Robertson Stephens has 28 advisory teams operating across 26 offices. The firm’s broader platform includes wealth planning, investment management, family office services, retirement plan consulting, alternative investments, and institutional consulting.
Robertson Stephens operates as an independent SEC-registered investment advisor and is continuing to build a multidisciplinary model designed to support both private wealth and institutional clients under a fiduciary framework.
The firm said the addition of Alpha Investment Consulting Group reflects a broader strategy of investing in specialized capabilities while maintaining an emphasis on personalized advice and long-term client relationships.
Crossing $10 billion in assets under management also represents a significant scale milestone for Robertson Stephens as it continues expanding through the addition of advisory teams and complementary capabilities.
