Robinhood Banking has surpassed $4 billion in assets, marking a significant milestone for Robinhood’s expansion beyond brokerage and investing into broader consumer financial services.

Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev disclosed the milestone in a post on August 31, 2026, describing the growth as an indication that customers are willing to entrust more of their money to the platform.

Robinhood Money, LLC offers Robinhood Banking, while Coastal Community Bank, an FDIC member, provides the underlying banking services.

The $4 billion milestone underscores Robinhood’s effort to deepen its relationship with customers by expanding the range of financial products available through its ecosystem.

Robinhood has historically been best known for commission-free stock and cryptocurrency trading. Its expansion into banking reflects a broader strategy to become a more comprehensive financial platform where customers can manage more of their financial lives.

Growing banking assets can also strengthen customer engagement by creating relationships that extend beyond investment activity and market trading.

The milestone comes as Robinhood continues adding financial products and services intended to increase customer activity on its platform.

Tenev did not provide additional financial details about the composition of the $4 billion in assets or the pace at which Robinhood Banking reached the milestone.
