Rocker has launched with $12.85 million in funding to build an AI work assistant designed to understand the shared context surrounding teams, projects, decisions, and organizational priorities.
Greycroft led the financing, with participation from Anthropic and Menlo Ventures’ Anthology Fund, Matchstick, Stripe, and several technology executives.
Rocker was founded in 2025 by Alex Vogenthaler and Peter Terrill, both of whom previously held senior roles at Google and Stripe.
The company argues that many existing AI agents focus on making individual workers faster without understanding how their tasks intersect with those of coworkers or broader company priorities.
Rocker is designed as a persistent, stateful system that maintains a living model of projects, people, organizational history, decisions, dependencies, and current work.
The product can function as an individual assistant or be deployed companywide, where each Rocker connects to a shared context layer intended to coordinate employees and AI agents.
The platform can surface project dependencies, identify conflicting work, preserve organizational context, and help ensure relevant information reaches appropriate people.
Rocker said it was designed with privacy and enterprise security as core requirements. Private user context is not shared without approval, and human users remain involved in workflows.
The company achieved SOC 2 compliance before reaching nine months of operation.
Rocker can also be deployed within a customer’s own cloud environment, enabling companies to keep intellectual property and corporate data inside their existing infrastructure rather than transferring it to a centralized SaaS provider.
The founders’ experience includes overseeing product lines responsible for more than 90% of Stripe’s revenue and building startups later acquired by Google and Stripe.
