Rockpoint And Newbond Holdings Acquire Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale

Rockpoint and Newbond Holdings have acquired the Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale, Curio Collection by Hilton, expanding the firms’ hospitality investment partnership.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction follows Rockpoint and Newbond’s acquisition of the Westin Tampa Waterside in September 2025.

Built in 2021, Hotel Maren is a 12-story, 141-room oceanfront hotel located on a 0.8-acre waterfront site at 525 South Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.

Every guestroom offers views of either the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway. Amenities include an oceanfront pool and sun deck, multiple food and beverage concepts, retail, meeting and event space and a fitness studio.

Rockpoint and Newbond plan targeted enhancements to the hotel’s public areas and food and beverage offerings.

KEY QUOTES:

“Hotel Maren is a high-quality beachfront property in a compelling submarket with attractive long-term fundamentals. We believe there is a meaningful opportunity to build on the hotel’s existing strengths through targeted enhancements of the property and guest experience. We’re also pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with Neil, Vann, and the entire Newbond team.”

Patrick Ryan, Managing Director at Rockpoint

“Fort Lauderdale Beach continues to evolve as a destination, and we see tremendous opportunity in this particular stretch south of Las Olas. Hotel Maren is a recently built, oceanfront asset with oversized guestrooms, exceptional water views, and a location that we believe will become increasingly compelling as the surrounding area continues to attract significant investment. We look forward to partnering with Rockpoint on the acquisition of this asset and the opportunity to elevate its positioning in one of Fort Lauderdale’s most dynamic micro-markets.”
