Rogo Technologies, the AI platform trusted by leading investment banks, has announced its acquisition of Subset, an AI-powered spreadsheet company backed by Index Ventures. The deal marks a significant step in Rogo’s mission to transform financial modeling by embedding intelligent spreadsheet agents directly into the workflows of bankers and investors.
Founded by Jason Chan and AJ Nandi, Subset developed a finance-native spreadsheet engine that enables users to upload, build, and export complex financial models with AI assistance. Chan brings investment banking and private equity experience from Bank of America and Providence Strategic Growth. And Nandi combines technical depth from his computer science background at the University of Pennsylvania and venture experience at Insight Partners.
By integrating Subset’s technology, Rogo is delivering a spreadsheet agent that goes far beyond point solutions. The agent automates model builds, roll-forwards, sensitivity analysis, and error detection. It can explain and fix any formula with full traceability, securely connect to data providers like Capital IQ, FactSet, PitchBook, and Refinitiv, and convert analysis into polished deliverables, such as slides and memos.
This acquisition enhances Rogo’s end-to-end platform, which already supports premier institutions including Lazard, Moelis, Nomura, and Tiger Global. With Subset now part of its suite, Rogo is positioned to accelerate deal cycles, reduce modeling errors, and bring AI-native tooling to the heart of capital markets decision-making.
