RoofMarketplace, a platform transforming the roofing claims process, has entered a new growth phase under the leadership of CEO Scott Holewinski, following a $7 million Series A funding round led by Wingra Capital. This investment will help simplify property claims.
With over 20 years of experience in technology and risk management, Holewinski previously founded Tetra Defense, a cybersecurity firm acquired by Arctic Wolf in 2022, and co-founded Gillware Data Services, which was acquired by StorageCraft in 2016.
The property insurance sector is currently facing challenges from labor shortages, rising material costs, and severe weather events, necessitating improvements in claim accuracy and reductions in loss adjustment expenses (LAE), which totaled $149 billion in unpaid reserves as of mid-2024, according to the NAIC.
RoofMarketplace provides a streamlined and transparent approach to roofing claims, enabling carriers to settle with confidence and ensuring seamless repairs for policyholders. Homeowners benefit from greater control during stressful times, while contractors receive qualified leads and improved support.
The new funding will drive product development, team expansion, and scalability. Immediate plans include upgrading the platform for additional claim types and enhancing partnerships within the insurance ecosystem.
To support this growth, RoofMarketplace has welcomed two new leaders:
- Brian Beermann, Chief Technology Officer, brings over 20 years of engineering and SaaS experience, previously leading growth at UW Credit Union and Digioh.
-
Lauren Reid, Vice President of Marketing & Communications, offers expertise from her time at Tetra Defense and Arctic Wolf, where she supported over 30 national insurance carriers and brokers.
