Ropes & Gray Adds Antitrust Partner Marta Kelly In New York To Bolster Transactional Practice

Ropes & Gray has added antitrust lawyer Marta Kelly as a partner in its New York office, expanding the firm’s transactional antitrust capabilities as clients navigate heightened regulatory scrutiny around dealmaking.

The firm said Kelly has advised on more than 500 transactions totaling over $500 billion across a broad range of industries and geographies. Her practice focuses on antitrust counsel for complex transactions, including competition and merger-notification compliance and strategy, preparation of competition filings, and securing approvals in the U.S. and globally.

Ropes & Gray also emphasized Kelly’s experience guiding clients through risk allocation, integration planning, and other deal-critical considerations tied to regulatory outcomes. The hire further builds the firm’s New York transactional platform as it marks its 25th anniversary in the market.
