Ropes & Gray announced that Nitin Konchady, a capital markets lawyer specializing in distressed and special situations capital markets transactions, has joined as a partner in the finance and credit opportunities practice. And he expands the firm’s elite team of established capital solutions, finance, and restructuring lawyers.
Konchady brings a multi-dimensional perspective and a creative problem-solving approach to advising investment funds, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies, issuers, and ad hoc committees. Clients work with Konchady to oversee their most complex issues related to public and private debt and equity investments, offerings, and liability management transactions. His experience covers multiple industries and regions, including the U.S., UK, and continental Europe.
At Ropes & Gray, Konchady joins over 100 finance attorneys across the U.S. and Europe. And the team regularly works alongside the business restructuring group as the attorneys lead liability management transactions in a rapidly evolving market. Last year alone, Ropes & Gray led over $20 billion of liability management transactions.
Konchady’s arrival expands Ropes & Gray’s growing New York office, which has already added nearly 30 lateral attorneys, including three other partners, this year.
