Rothschild & Co has appointed Brent Surber as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Private Capital Markets within Global Markets Solutions, creating a new leadership role focused on expanding the firm’s private capital capabilities in North America.
Based in New York, Surber will work across Global Markets Solutions and Global Advisory to develop private capital solutions for corporate and financial sponsor clients.
His responsibilities will include bespoke equity and debt financings, capital structure advisory and private capital distribution.
Surber brings more than 20 years of experience across equity and debt capital markets.
He joins Rothschild & Co from Guggenheim Securities, where he was a Senior Managing Director in Capital Markets advising corporate and sponsor-backed clients.
Before Guggenheim, he spent nearly a decade at Houlihan Lokey helping develop its Capital Solutions business.
Rothschild & Co’s Global Advisory business includes approximately 1,600 industry and financing specialists across 48 countries.
