RoundTable Healthcare Partners has appointed former HealthTrust Performance Group President and CEO Ed Jones as an Operating Partner, adding more than four decades of healthcare operating experience to the private equity firm’s portfolio support capabilities.
Jones most recently spent nearly 14 years as President and CEO of HealthTrust Performance Group and recently retired after more than four decades with HPG and HCA Healthcare.
At RoundTable, Jones will work with the firm’s investment and operating teams to accelerate value creation at portfolio companies and assist with evaluating new investment opportunities.
The appointment is RoundTable’s second significant Operating Partner hire in recent months.
In May, the firm added Amardeep Kahlon, former CEO of Designs for Health, which was previously a RoundTable portfolio company. The appointments are part of an effort to deepen operating expertise around RoundTable’s healthcare investment strategy.
Jones also brings extensive relationships across hospitals, health systems and the broader healthcare ecosystem, along with experience building teams and identifying new market opportunities.
He is a founding board member of the Health Sector Supply Chain Research Consortium and a member and subcommittee leader of the Federation of American Hospitals.
RoundTable focuses exclusively on healthcare and has raised $4.25 billion of committed capital, including six equity funds totaling $3.65 billion and three subordinated debt funds totaling $600 million.
