RouteMyPlan: Interview With Founder Timothy Zaide About The Workforce Accountability Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Today at 1:27 PM

RouteMyPlan is a workforce accountability platform that helps operations teams schedule employees, track departures, and verify on-site arrivals using real-time navigation and geofencing. Pulse 2.0 interviewed RouteMyPlan founder Timothy Zaide to gain a deeper understanding of the company.

Timothy Zaide’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Zaide said:

“I served in the U.S. Army for several five years, where I learned structure, adaptability and timeliness. After leaving the military, I started working toward a degree in cybersecurity from Westcliff University. Around that time, I also became a dad. My son was born with profound hearing loss in his right ear, which meant constant doctor’s appointments and daily scheduling challenges. Trying to balance that with work and school showed me how hard it was to stay on time. That experience is what led me to create RouteMyPlan.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Zaide shared:

“The idea came during a typical drive to one of my son’s medical appointments. I was watching the time, stuck in traffic and already stressed about being late. I had a calendar app, a maps app and a few reminders set up, but none of them really worked together. That moment made me realize I needed something better. I wanted an app that could tell me not just where to go, but exactly when to leave and how to stay on time without the constant second-guessing and running late.”

Core Products

RouteMyPlan

What are the company’s core products and features? Zaide explained:

“RouteMyPlan is a scheduling app that combines real-time traffic data with navigation and reminders. You enter your destination and your desired arrival time and the app will calculate the best time to leave and monitor conditions along the way. If there’s traffic or a delay, it will adjust and notify you. It also offers voice-guided directions through Google Maps, alerts before and during travel, saved routes and custom stops. For businesses, we provide tracking, check-ins and performance data to keep teams accountable and on time.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Zaide cited:

“Launching on both iOS and Android was a big step and completing beta testing gave us valuable feedback and helped shape the next version of the app. We’ve also rolled out business features that support mobile teams and started discussions with healthcare providers and service companies who want to integrate RouteMyPlan into their scheduling systems.”

Funding/Revenue

Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Zaide revealed:

“We’re currently bootstrapped and focused on proving product-market fit following our recent launch. Our short-term priority is acquiring early business users and optimizing based on real-world feedback. While we’re not disclosing revenue metrics at this time, we’re exploring strategic funding conversations to support growth, especially as we scale B2B outreach and expand our platform’s capabilities.”

Total Addressable Market (TAM)

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Zaide assessed:

“We are targeting anyone who depends on reliable scheduling and travel. That includes field sales reps, healthcare professionals, delivery workers, parents and any individual managing packed days. In the U.S. alone, this is a market of tens of millions of users who need better planning tools. The opportunity is large and growing as more people work on the go.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Zaide affirmed:

“Most tools focus on one part of the problem. You use a calendar for planning and a navigation app for getting there, but RouteMyPlan connects both. It tells you when to leave, adjusts in real time and helps you stay on track from the moment you schedule something to the moment you arrive. For businesses, we also offer tools that help improve timing, reduce delays and hold teams accountable in ways that traditional apps don’t.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Zaide emphasized:

“Now that RouteMyPlan is live, our immediate goal is to onboard early business users and gather actionable feedback to improve the experience. In the mid-term, we aim to refine our analytics and scheduling tools, expand geofencing functionality, and explore integrations with payroll and time-tracking platforms.”

“Long-term, our vision is to become the go-to workforce coordination platform for businesses with mobile employees — improving efficiency, punctuality, and accountability at scale. We also plan to explore white-label licensing and potential enterprise partnerships down the line.”

Additional Thoughts

Any other topics you would like to discuss? Zaide concluded:

“I created RouteMyPlan because I needed it. As a parent, a student and a veteran, I knew the value of both structure and flexibility. I wanted to help others take control of their day in a way that feels simple and reliable. Whether you’re running a business or running between appointments, this app is designed to take the pressure off and help you stay on time.”
