RPM International said it has signed a definitive agreement for its Tremco Construction Products Group (Tremco CPG) to acquire Kalzip GmbH, a global provider of metal-based roofing and façade systems for building envelopes. RPM said the deal will strengthen Tremco CPG’s building envelope systems capabilities by adding a high-performance, specification-driven brand known for architectural innovation.
Kalzip, headquartered in Koblenz, Germany, specializes in customized aluminum roofing and façade solutions and has delivered more than 1.2 billion square feet of aluminum systems worldwide. RPM cited projects including the El Prat Airport roof refurbishment in Barcelona, Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Children’s Hospital Dublin, and Ikea Dubai. Kalzip generated approximately €75 million in net sales in calendar year 2024.
RPM said the acquisition will bolster Tremco CPG’s international footprint—particularly in Europe and India—while creating opportunities to introduce Kalzip’s aluminum systems to North American customers. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of RPM’s fiscal 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Andrew Leach and Kalzip’s senior management team are expected to remain with the business to support continuity and growth.
