RPM International announced that it has completed its acquisition of Kalzip GmbH, a Germany-based provider of aluminum roofing and façade systems, strengthening its global building envelope portfolio and expanding its presence across Europe and international markets.
The acquisition was made through RPM’s Tremco Construction Products Group (Tremco CPG), which brings together a range of construction brands and solutions focused on building performance and durability. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Kalzip, headquartered in Koblenz, Germany, specializes in lightweight, weather-resistant aluminum systems used in architectural roofing and façade applications. The company has delivered more than 1.2 billion square feet of aluminum solutions globally and has contributed to major infrastructure and commercial projects, including stadiums, hospitals, transportation hubs, and pedestrian bridges.
For the 2024 calendar year, Kalzip generated approximately €75 million in net sales.
RPM said the acquisition enhances Tremco CPG’s capabilities in building envelope technologies, enabling broader offerings across regions including North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, and Latin America. The integration is expected to support innovation, training, and performance-driven construction solutions across diverse climates and project types.
RPM International operates a portfolio of specialty coatings, sealants, building materials, and related services through its consumer, construction products, and performance coatings segments. The company employs approximately 17,800 people worldwide and owns a range of well-known brands serving both professional and consumer markets.
