Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP) is in talks to acquire WideOpenWest (NYSE: WOW), which is known as the sixth-largest cable operator in the U.S., according to Bloomberg. These talks are still ongoing and there a deal might not be reached.

WideOpenWest – which does business as WOW! – offers landline, cable TV, and broadband Internet services. The company was founded in 1996 in Denver, Colorado.

Crestview Partners has a 36% stake in WideOpenWest. And Crestview first started backing WideOpenWest in 2015 after buying a stake from Avista Capital Partners and several other investors.
