Runloop, an enterprise-grade infrastructure platform for developing and deploying AI coding agents, has raised $7 million in a seed round led by The General Partnership, with participation from Blank Ventures. The funds will be used to accelerate hiring and enhance the product roadmap to meet the growing demand for its platform.
To address the challenges of deploying AI coding agents, Runloop offers secure sandboxes called Runloop devboxes, allowing developers to create, run, and evaluate their models. The platform features tools such as GitHub integration, snapshots, and blueprints to streamline the deployment process.
Historically, evaluating AI coding agents has been fragmented and often manual. Runloop’s Public Benchmarks offer on-demand access to industry-standard performance testing, enabling organizations to refine their models and demonstrate quality externally.
Founded by developers from Stripe, including Jonathan Wall, who previously co-founded Google Wallet, Runloop aims to create scalable infrastructure for the future of AI coding agents. Based in San Francisco, the growing team of 12 includes members from well-known companies like Vercel, ScaleAI, Google, and Stripe.
