Runpod announced that it has closed a $100 million Series A funding round led by Summit Partners.
The company provides a platform used by developers to build, scale, and deploy AI workloads.
Runpod said more than one million developers are now building on its platform. The company also said organizations using Runpod include Cursor, OpenAI, Artificial Analysis, and others.
The company said much of its growth has come through word of mouth as developers discover the platform, build with it, and recommend it to other developers.
Runpod plans to use the new capital to continue investing in its platform, including infrastructure, tooling, and developer-focused capabilities.
The company said its goal is to help developers move from experimentation to production without needing to re-platform as their workloads scale.
Runpod’s platform is designed to support the growing demand for flexible AI infrastructure as developers and companies build applications requiring GPU compute, model deployment, and scalable production environments.
The funding marks a major milestone for the company, which said it started in a New Jersey basement four years ago.
Runpod said the financing will help it move faster as it expands the infrastructure and tools developers need to build and run AI applications at scale.
