Runpod has surpassed $325 million in annual recurring revenue and named Brian Erickson Chief Financial Officer as the AI infrastructure company prepares for its next growth phase.
The company’s ARR rose from $120 million in January 2026 to more than $325 million, nearly threefold growth during the year. Runpod attributed the momentum to increasing adoption among individual AI developers and growing demand from enterprise customers.
More than 1.2 million developers now use Runpod, up from approximately 495,000 a year earlier. The company said September 2026 was its largest month for user growth to date, with more than 95,000 new developers signing up for the platform.
Runpod provides cloud infrastructure purpose-built for AI workloads, supporting developers across the AI development lifecycle, from experimentation and model training to fine-tuning, inference, deployment, and scaling. Customers include Sony, Toyota, Intel, Columbia University, Cornell University, UCLA, Deep Cogito, Rendair, and Nodalview.
Erickson brings more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership experience to Runpod. Most recently, he served as CFO of AI-powered consumer insights company Suzy. Before that, he was CFO of technology-enabled transportation marketplace Transfix, where he helped guide the business through a sale transaction.
Earlier in his career, Erickson held senior finance roles at DigitalOcean, where he helped the cloud infrastructure company scale and navigate its initial public offering. He also worked in finance roles at Amazon and Microsoft supporting their cloud computing businesses.
Runpod said Erickson’s experience scaling cloud and technology businesses will help strengthen the company’s financial and operational capabilities as its developer community and enterprise customer base expand.
The company is positioning itself as an AI Developer Cloud that lets customers move from early-stage experimentation to production deployments without switching infrastructure providers as workloads grow.
KEY QUOTES:
“Runpod has built something rare in cloud infrastructure: a platform that developers genuinely want to use, with enterprise adoption following naturally from that demand. Having spent much of my career helping cloud and technology companies scale, I see a tremendous opportunity to build on that foundation. I’m excited to help Runpod translate its developer momentum into a durable, category-defining business.”
Brian Erickson, Chief Financial Officer Of Runpod
“We’ve grown nearly threefold this year because developers are building real businesses on Runpod, and those businesses are scaling fast. That creates enormous opportunity, but also demands a different level of financial and operational discipline. Brian has helped some of the world’s most successful cloud companies grow. He brings the experience to strengthen our financial and operational discipline as we scale.”
