Ryder Buys Truck Service Depot To Expand Torque Mobile Maintenance In Georgia

By Amit Chowdhry • Jan 6, 2026

Ryder System has completed its acquisition of Truck Service Depot, an Atlanta-based mobile maintenance provider for commercial trucks and trailers, as Ryder pushes deeper into high-velocity freight corridors across Georgia and the broader Southeast.

The deal adds more than 20 technicians and two physical sites to Ryder’s Torque by Ryder retail mobile maintenance network: a 10-bay, drive-through maintenance facility in Atlanta and a service center in Savannah. Ryder said it expects the combination to create operating synergies and broaden coverage for fleet customers needing rapid, flexible maintenance support.

Ryder closed the transaction on January 5, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. Truck Service Depot founder Scott Marshall, who started the business in 2018, will work with Ryder to support the transition.

Ryder said it plans to integrate Truck Service Depot’s employees, assets, and operations into Torque by Ryder throughout 2026, with an emphasis on maintaining uninterrupted service for existing customers. The company framed the acquisition as part of a broader Southeast growth strategy that includes recent openings of truck rental and maintenance facilities in McDonough, Georgia, and Lebanon, Tennessee.

Ryder also pointed to the Atlanta-area logistics ecosystem—anchored by major interstate corridors, freight rail access, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport—as a key driver of demand for fleet services. With the addition of Truck Service Depot, Ryder said Torque by Ryder now offers retail mobile maintenance across 27 states, serving equipment ranging from commercial trucks and trailers to refrigerated vehicles, utility fleets, and buses.
