Safe Pro Group, a leader in AI-based defense and security technologies, announced it has entered into definitive agreements for a $14 million strategic investment led by Ondas Holdings, a provider of autonomous drone solutions. The funding underscores growing confidence in Safe Pro’s mission to enhance soldier safety and support humanitarian operations through advanced AI and unmanned systems.
The private placement includes the sale of two million shares of Safe Pro common stock. The proceeds will be used to accelerate development and integration of the company’s AI-powered computer vision and threat detection technologies for use in both defense and humanitarian sectors worldwide. The transaction, expected to close on or about October 22, 2025, follows a prior investment by Ondas and other strategic backers earlier this year.
Safe Pro’s cutting-edge AI platform utilizes years of field-tested data to detect small and concealed explosive threats with precision. Its proprietary SPOTD NODE (Navigation, Observation and Detection Engine) delivers real-time AI analysis of drone imagery directly at the tactical edge, enabling instant detection of landmines and over 150 types of unexploded ordnance (UXO). The system generates high-resolution 2D and 3D maps without requiring an internet connection — a critical advantage in battlefield and disaster environments.
Developed in close collaboration with military operators, Safe Pro’s AI technology has already been deployed in active combat zones, including Ukraine. Built on a dataset of over two million drone images, it has successfully recorded more than 36,000 explosive detections and mapped over 9,166 hectares (22,640 acres). By merging drone autonomy with advanced AI, Safe Pro’s innovations are helping to transform battlefield intelligence and humanitarian response efforts around the globe.
The collaboration between Safe Pro and Ondas strengthens a shared strategic vision: to integrate AI, autonomy, and real-time analytics to enhance mission effectiveness and protect lives. With this infusion of capital, Safe Pro aims to expand its global footprint, advance its AI development roadmap, and extend its humanitarian impact across nearly 60 countries affected by landmines and other explosive hazards.
