Safe Pro Group: Over $20 Million Secured To Accelerate AI, Drone, And Ballistics Expansion

Safe Pro Group announced a major operational update following the securing of more than $20 million in new strategic investments, which are fueling rapid development across its AI, autonomous drone services, and advanced ballistic protection divisions. The Aventura-based company said that the funding will enable the faster commercialization of its technology platforms and strengthen its market position in defense, public safety, and humanitarian operations.

The latest funding includes a $14 million equity investment at $7 per share led by Ondas Holdings, a provider of autonomous drone technology. The new capital is advancing product development and deployment across Safe Pro’s three subsidiaries: Safe Pro AI, Airborne Response, and Safe Pro USA. The company said the strengthened balance sheet and new partnerships are supporting its expanded focus on AI-powered threat detection, autonomous aerial operations, and next-generation protective gear for military, law enforcement, and infrastructure customers.

Safe Pro highlighted key initiatives across its business units, including a new AI collaboration with Red Cat Holdings to embed real-time threat detection into the Black Widow drone platform, accelerated prototyping of its SPOTD NODE edge processing system, ongoing integration of SpotlightAI into US Army contracted drones, and significant progress in autonomous drone asset inspection programs with a US utility partner. The company also advanced work on its lightweight ballistic armor systems under the new NIJ standards while pushing toward ISO certification to support expanded government procurement.

Safe Pro AI continues to scale its SPOTD-based image analysis technology, which has been validated through more than two million real-world drone images from operations in Ukraine. The company’s newly introduced InFlight embedded software is being integrated into Red Cat’s Black Widow drone to deliver real time threat detection without reliance on cloud connectivity. Safe Pro said it is in discussions with the US Army to assess integrating InFlight across additional drone platforms as federal operations resume following the government’s reopening.

The company reported significant traction for its SPOTD NODE system, a self-contained mapping and imagery processing engine designed for threat detection in environments without wireless connectivity. NODE was demonstrated to US Army stakeholders and developed using operational feedback from personnel based in Ukraine.

At the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining’s 2025 Innovation Conference, Safe Pro and Norwegian People’s Aid presented new research showing SpotlightAI can increase demining productivity by more than 800 percent, improve detection of unexploded ordnance by 550 percent per hectare, and reduce related field survey costs by approximately 50 percent. Safe Pro said it intends to use this data to drive broader adoption among government, NGO, and funding organizations.

Airborne Response, the company’s drone services arm, has begun supporting a major US utility with autonomous drone inspections using Skydio self docking systems. This approach enables the fully remote monitoring of power infrastructure, thereby reducing field risk and enhancing operational efficiency. The business is also expanding its Drone as a First Responder program with a South Florida police department to advance automated emergency awareness capabilities.

Safe Pro USA, the company’s ballistic division, continues work toward NIJ 0101.07 certification for its ultralight body armor systems, a prerequisite for securing federal and state contracts. The division is testing lightweight rifle-resistant vehicle armor kits and pursuing ISO 9001 certification to meet additional procurement criteria.
