SAFEbuilt has acquired Northeast Inspection Consultants, expanding its building department and community development services platform across Pennsylvania.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2008, Northeast Inspection Consultants provides municipal building inspections, plan review, code enforcement, zoning consulting and related services.
The company operates from offices in Childs and Danville, Pennsylvania, and serves municipalities throughout the eastern portion of the state.
The acquisition strengthens SAFEbuilt’s existing Pennsylvania operations, with a particular focus on northeastern Pennsylvania.
SAFEbuilt provides outsourced and supplemental building department and community development services to local governments.
By adding NEIC, SAFEbuilt gains additional building officials, inspectors, plan reviewers and other professionals with direct experience serving Pennsylvania municipalities.
NEIC’s existing team will continue working with its municipal customers following the transaction.
SAFEbuilt intends to preserve the local knowledge, relationships and service approach established by NEIC while giving the acquired team access to a larger national organization’s resources and expertise.
The acquisition is consistent with SAFEbuilt’s strategy of expanding its municipal service capabilities through local teams that already understand the communities and regulatory environments they serve.
NEIC’s building inspection, zoning and code enforcement capabilities complement SAFEbuilt’s broader portfolio of services supporting local governments with staffing and specialized expertise.
