SafelyYou, an AI-powered senior living care company, announced the appointment of Joelle Poe as Vice President of Strategy. In this role, Poe will oversee strategic initiatives aimed at sharpening the company’s competitive positioning, strengthening strategic partnerships, and guiding innovation as SafelyYou expands its AI-driven senior living platform.
The company said Poe will help shape long-term business direction by translating customer and market insights into product and go-to-market strategies. SafelyYou currently serves more than 950 senior living communities across North America and is focused on improving care quality, reducing falls and risks, and helping operators improve clinical and financial outcomes.
Poe brings more than 18 years of experience in product and technology leadership across age-tech, healthcare, hospitality, and senior living. Before joining SafelyYou, she founded Centered Care, a technology-enabled care model designed for senior living communities. She also served as Chief Product Officer at SkyPoint and previously led digital transformation and population health analytics initiatives for several large insurance plans.
In addition to her executive experience, Poe is a member of the NIC Future Leaders Council and serves as Chair of the NIC Partnering for Health Committee.
SafelyYou said the appointment further strengthens its leadership position in AI-powered senior living technology. The company noted that its platform has earned a 71.4 Net Promoter Score and has demonstrated results in reducing falls, lowering risk and costs, extending resident length of stay, and increasing NOI for senior living operators.
Founded in 2015 from doctoral research by CEO George Netscher at UC Berkeley’s Artificial Intelligence Research Lab, SafelyYou develops AI technology, hardware, and remote clinician solutions designed to support safer and more person-centered care for seniors.
