SageOx announced it raised a $15 million seed financing round led by Canaan Partners, with participation from A.Capital, Pioneer Square Labs, and Founders’ Co-op.
The company is developing a shared context infrastructure designed to improve collaboration between human workers and AI agents by capturing decisions, intent, conversations, and project history across workflows.
SageOx said current AI agents operate in isolated sessions without persistent memory or shared understanding of prior decisions, team discussions, or architectural intent. According to the company, this creates operational drift that requires teams to repeatedly restate context and manually correct outputs.
The platform captures context from conversations, chat tools, coding sessions, and existing software systems, then converts the information into structured knowledge accessible to both humans and AI agents. SageOx said this allows agents to continue work with awareness of historical decisions, evolving project requirements, and team conventions without constant human oversight.
The company said its infrastructure is intended to support AI-native work environments where teams increasingly operate alongside fleets of AI agents. SageOx believes the ability to continuously share decisions, intent, and operational context across humans and AI systems will become foundational infrastructure for enterprise knowledge work.
SageOx is already working with early design partners and operates an “open work” model that gives users visibility into how its internal teams collaborate with AI agents.
The company was founded by Ajit Banerjee, Ryan Snodgrass, and Milkana Brace. The founding team includes former engineering leaders from AWS, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Kindle, Remitly, and XetHub.
SageOx said the new funding will support continued product development and selective hiring while maintaining a lean operational structure heavily supported by agentic AI teammates.
