Sagility Acquires CareSeed To Expand AI-Powered Quality Operations And Medicare Advantage Capabilities

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jun 12, 2026

Sagility, a tech-enabled healthcare operations and transformation company, announced the acquisition of CareSeed, a healthcare analytics company specializing in NCQA-certified HEDIS quality reporting, medical record review, chart abstraction, and regulatory analytics for health plans.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, CareSeed serves 30 small and midsized U.S. payers with a strong focus on the Medicare Advantage market. Its cloud-native Forecast and Harvest platforms help health plans improve HEDIS performance, streamline chart abstraction and medical record review workflows, enhance audit readiness, and address increasingly complex regulatory requirements.

The acquisition expands Sagility’s healthcare quality and Stars capabilities and supports the company’s strategy of moving health plans beyond retrospective HEDIS reporting toward integrated, member-level quality orchestration.

By combining CareSeed’s technology with Sagility’s healthcare operations, clinical services, and AI-enabled transformation capabilities, the companies will offer an end-to-end quality operations platform. The combined offering will support health plans throughout the quality lifecycle, including HEDIS abstraction and reporting, prospective care gap closure, provider engagement, care coordination, and ongoing performance monitoring.

CareSeed’s Forecast platform delivers NCQA-certified HEDIS reporting and quality analytics, while Harvest provides cloud-based medical record review, chart abstraction, and supplemental data capture capabilities. Together, the platforms are designed to provide a foundation for quality operations transformation and integrated care management.

The acquisition also strengthens Sagility’s presence among mid-market payers and creates opportunities to expand quality and Stars solutions to larger national health plans.

Houlihan Lokey served as exclusive financial advisor to CareSeed, while Allrise Legal Counsel and Swanson Bernard acted as legal advisors.

Sagility provides healthcare operations services to payers, providers, and pharmacy benefit managers. The company serves more than 80 healthcare clients, including seven of the ten largest U.S. health plans.
