SailPoint announced its intention to acquire Tel Aviv-based Entro (see Pulse 2.0 profile here), a provider of non-human identity and credential security technology, to strengthen its recently launched Agentic Fabric platform and expand its capabilities for securing AI agents and machine identities.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close during SailPoint’s third quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
Founded in Israel, Entro specializes in discovering and securing non-human identities, including secrets, keys, certificates, and tokens used across cloud environments and automated workflows. SailPoint said the addition of Entro’s technology will enhance its ability to provide visibility, governance, and protection across human identities, machine identities, and autonomous AI agents from a unified platform.
According to SailPoint, Entro’s capabilities include agentless discovery of more than 1,000 non-human identity and AI agent types and the identification of more than 1,200 credential types across over 70 enterprise sources, including cloud platforms, developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and SaaS environments.
The acquisition is intended to accelerate the development of SailPoint’s Agentic Fabric, which was launched recently to address identity security challenges associated with AI agents and automated workloads. Entro’s lineage mapping technology also enables organizations to associate non-human identities with human owners, providing accountability and supporting access governance and remediation.
In addition, Entro brings Non-Human Identity Detection and Response (NHIDR) capabilities that continuously monitor machine identities and AI agents for anomalous behavior, enabling organizations to detect excessive privileges and automate responses to threats.
SailPoint said the combined technologies will help customers move beyond traditional perimeter-based security models and address emerging risks associated with AI-driven environments and autonomous systems.
KEY QUOTES:
“The recent launch of our Agentic Fabric established a new paradigm for securing autonomous AI agents and non-human identities at scale, including native discovery, governance and protection. By bringing Entro’s powerful and complementary technology into our SailPoint platform, we will be giving our customers an even bigger advantage: frictionless, complete visibility into every non-human identity and—crucially—the context and credentials they use to access critical corporate data.”
Mark McClain, CEO and Founder, SailPoint
“We built Entro with a clear mission: to secure the modern cloud by discovering and protecting the sheer volume of credentials and non-human identities powering it. As enterprises embrace more automation and agentic workloads, this massive identity layer is only becoming more critical to protect. We are excited to integrate our deep, seamless discovery and lineage mapping engine into SailPoint’s comprehensive identity security framework and Agentic Fabric. Together, our combined non-human and AI capabilities will supercharge SailPoint’s proven ability to secure every identity, human and non-human, across the global enterprise landscape.”
Itzik Alvas, Co-Founder and CEO, Entro
