Salesforce and Google Cloud have expanded their strategic partnership to more closely connect enterprise data, AI agents, applications, and infrastructure across both companies’ platforms.
The expanded relationship is designed to reduce the fragmentation that can occur when enterprise data, AI agents and business applications operate across separate technology environments.
A central component of the partnership is the deployment of Salesforce’s Hyperforce infrastructure on Google Cloud.
Hyperforce on Google Cloud is already handling live production customer traffic, and Salesforce plans to begin migrating select U.S. customers in the fourth quarter of 2026.
General availability in North America is scheduled for November 2026, followed by phased feature and regional expansion during 2027, including availability in Germany.
The deployment gives Salesforce customers another infrastructure option while providing access to Google Cloud’s infrastructure, data services, and Gemini Enterprise capabilities.
The companies are also connecting Salesforce’s headless architecture with Gemini Enterprise so AI agents operating across the two platforms can reason over shared business information and perform actions, enabling them to do so without requiring custom instructions for every workflow.
Salesforce’s headless architecture makes thousands of Salesforce capabilities available to external AI models, agents, and interfaces.
The architecture uses the Model Context Protocol, an open standard, to enable interoperability between Gemini Enterprise and Salesforce.
This allows organizations to surface Salesforce information and business capabilities directly inside Gemini Enterprise.
Potential use cases include pipeline health analysis, account summaries and case triage spanning sales, customer service, finance and advertising workflows.
The partnership also brings Tableau analytics more directly into Gemini Enterprise.
Organizations will be able to connect Gemini Enterprise with trusted Tableau analytics while maintaining governance controls, semantic models and row-level security.
Tableau MCP is designed to ensure those governance policies continue to apply when AI agents query enterprise analytics.
The companies are also expanding the use of Google’s Gemini models within Salesforce Agentforce.
Joint customers can use Gemini models natively within Agentforce to build autonomous agents that can reason and act across Salesforce and Google Cloud environments.
Google’s advanced Gemini models are also available through Salesforce Prompt Builder and Agentforce’s Reasoning Engine.
The Agentforce Reasoning Engine with Gemini is already generally available.
Salesforce has also made its Agentforce Sales Agent available in beta through Google Cloud Marketplace.
The partnership gives enterprises several ways to combine Salesforce’s customer data, business processes and workflow capabilities with Google’s AI models and infrastructure.
Google Cloud is one of the first hypersca,le cloud providers to implement Salesforce’s headless architecture.
Salesforce and Google Cloud are positioning the model as a way for companies to build AI agents that can operate across multiple applications while maintaining access to existing enterprise data, governance and business logic.
SharkNinja is among the joint customers already using the companies’ technologies.
The consumer products company is combining Gemini Live’s real-time multimodal capabilities with Agentforce to create product experiences that can support consumers throughout the lifecycle of a product.
The technology could initially help customers with UCT setup and later assist with product lifecycle troubleshooting issues, discovering additional functionality, and connecting with customer support.
The companies are also expanding their partnership into commerce.
Beginning in fall 2026, Salesforce Commerce Cloud merchants will be able to surface products directly within Google Search, including AI Mode, and the Gemini app.
The integration is intended to shorten the path from product discovery to purchase by enabling consumers to interact with products and complete transactions through Google experiences.
Merchants will be able to send product catalog information to Google Merchant Center using a native feed integration and field-mapping interface within Salesforce Business Manager.
The partnership will also support checkout through Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol.
Merchants will be able to enable purchasing directly within Google surfaces, including Gemini and Google Search, while retaining payments, compliance, and order management within their existing Commerce Cloud infrastructure.
Salesforce said its catalog feed integration with Google is already generally available.
Integration with Universal Commerce Protocol is scheduled for general availability in October 2026.
SharkNinja is also participating in the commerce initiative, with its products expected to appear across Google experiences, while Commerce Cloud continues to handle payments and order management.
Another major component of the expanded relationship centers on enterprise data.
Salesforce Data 360 and Google BigQuery already support Zero Copy data sharing, allowing customers to use data across platforms without creating unnecessary duplicate datasets.
Salesforce and Google Cloud plan to expand Zero Copy sharing into additional regions, adopt the Iceberg REST Catalog open standard, and enable Private Connect for more secure interoperability.
The companies are also evaluating additional capabilities such as bidirectional semantic information sharing.
That work is intended to create a more unified foundation for AI agents that need access to governed business data across Salesforce and Google environments.
The Salesforce Federated Connector for Gemini is currently in private preview, with general availability planned for late October 2026.
Expanded Google Cloud and Salesforce Data 360 Zero Copy capabilities are expected to become generally available in fall 2026.
The broader partnership reflects both companies’ efforts to create a more connected enterprise AI technology stack.
Salesforce contributes customer data, workflows, business logic and enterprise actions through products including Agentforce, Data 360, Tableau and Commerce Cloud.
Google Cloud contributes AI infrastructure, Gemini models, Gemini Enterprise and its broader data and cloud platform.
By connecting those layers, the companies are attempting to give customers a common environment in which AI agents can understand business context, access governed enterprise information, and perform actions across multiple applications.
KEY QUOTES:
“What changes here is the infrastructure underneath our customers, not the trust they’ve built with us. Hyperforce running natively on Google Cloud will extend the same security, compliance, and resilience standards we hold ourselves to. Enterprises will get Google Cloud’s flexibility without giving up an inch of the trust bar they expect from Salesforce.”
Meir Amiel, President and Chief Trust and Infrastructure Officer at Salesforce
“Enterprise AI only pays off when agents can understand a company’s business context and act on it. Gemini Enterprise brings Google’s most advanced AI together with a company’s data, applications and everyday workflows in one platform. By bringing Salesforce, where critical customer and business processes already live, into Gemini Enterprise, customers can build trusted agents that reason across their business context and securely take action.”
Kevin Ichhpurani, President of Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud
“By bringing Gemini Live’s real-time, multimodal capabilities together with Agentforce, we’re creating a new way for consumers to engage with SharkNinja throughout the life of a product. What starts with guided setup can grow into an intelligent product companion that helps people learn, troubleshoot, discover new possibilities, and connect with support when needed.”
Evan Gerber, VP of AI and Emerging Technology at SharkNinja
“AI is changing not only how consumers discover products, but where they buy them. With our products surfaced across Google surfaces and UCP-enabled checkout on the results page, we shorten the path from discovery to purchase while keeping payments and order management on Commerce Cloud.”
Velia Carboni, CIO of SharkNinja
