Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE: CRM) announced it is naming Sarah Franklin as the chief marketing officer of the company. She is succeeding Stephanie Buscemi. Franklin has been at Salesforce for 13 years and most recently served as executive VP and general manager, Platform & AppExchange. 

“We appreciate Stephanie’s contributions to Salesforce’s success over the past 6 and a half years and wish her the best in the next phase of her journey,” said a Salesforce spokesperson via AdAge. 

Buscemi drove a number of marketing projects at Salesforce including the “Leading Through Change” virtual event series along with “Dreamforce To You,” the online version of the annual user conference.

Franklin also worked as Head of Database Product Marketing at Amazon Web Services for under a year. And she also worked in engineering roles at Grand Central, Extricity, Lockheed Martin, and Sterling Commerce.
