Advent has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Salt & Stone, a Los Angeles-based premium body care brand known for its distinctive scents and performance-driven formulations. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to close in April, subject to customary conditions.

Founded in 2017 by former professional snowboarder Nima Jalali, Salt & Stone has rapidly scaled into a leading player in the premium body care category. The brand has built a strong global following through a combination of clean ingredients, elevated design, and products tailored for active lifestyles. Its deodorant product has become a top seller across both premium retail channels such as Sephora and mass platforms like Amazon.

Salt & Stone generated more than $165 million in revenue in 2025 and achieved double-digit growth across all channels. The company sells one deodorant every five seconds and derives approximately 40 percent of its sales from direct-to-consumer channels across the U.S., Canada, and the UK. The brand has also expanded internationally, including recent launches in Sephora Europe and Space NK.

The partnership with Advent is expected to accelerate Salt & Stone’s global expansion, enhance its direct-to-consumer capabilities, and support continued product innovation. Following the transaction, founder and CEO Nima Jalali will remain involved as an equity holder, alongside President Meagan Rosson and Chief Marketing Officer Abby Tellam, ensuring continuity in leadership and brand direction. Chris Elshaw, an experienced beauty industry executive, will join as Chair.

Humble Growth, which made a minority investment in Salt & Stone in 2024, will exit its position as part of the transaction.

Support: Goldman Sachs and Ropes & Gray advised Advent, while Raymond James and Sidley Austin LLP advised Salt & Stone.
