Samsung Electronics has announced its acquisition of Xealth, a healthcare integration platform that combines various digital health tools and care programs for patients and providers. This move aligns with Samsung’s goal of creating a connected care platform that integrates wellness and medical care, offering a seamless approach to preventive healthcare.
The acquisition aims to unify fragmented health information, enabling individuals to take control of their health. Samsung is committed to making digital health tools widely accessible through innovative technology and a diverse device ecosystem. With a focus on sensor technology for wearables, the acquisition of Xealth will strengthen its vision of connected care at home.
Xealth, which originated from the Providence Health System, integrates various digital health solutions into a single platform, providing healthcare providers with a comprehensive view of their patients. The company collaborates with over 500 U.S. hospitals and more than 70 digital health solution partners, all of whom will benefit from access to Samsung’s platform.
