Samsung Electronics announced earnings guidance for the third quarter of 2026, forecasting approximately $145.4 billion (KRW 195 trillion) in consolidated sales.
The company also expects consolidated operating profit of approximately $80.1 billion (KRW 107.4 trillion) for the quarter.
The preliminary figures are based on Korean International Financial Reporting Standards and provide an early indication of Samsung’s financial performance before the company releases its full quarterly results.
Samsung said Korean disclosure regulations do not permit earnings guidance to be presented as a range. As a result, the headline sales and operating profit figures represent the midpoints of the company’s internal estimate ranges.
For sales, Samsung estimates third-quarter revenue will fall between approximately $144.7 billion (KRW 194 trillion) and $146.2 billion (KRW 196 trillion).
The company expects operating profit to range from approximately $80.0 billion (KRW 107.3 trillion) to $80.2 billion (KRW 107.5 trillion).
The guidance points to sequential growth compared with Samsung’s second-quarter 2026 results.
For the second quarter, Samsung reported approximately $127.9 billion (KRW 171.5 trillion) in consolidated sales.
Second-quarter operating profit was approximately $66.7 billion (KRW 89.49 trillion).
Based on the midpoint of Samsung’s third-quarter guidance, sales would increase by approximately $17.5 billion from the previous quarter, while operating profit would rise by roughly $13.4 billion.
Samsung’s preliminary earnings guidance is released before the company provides its complete quarterly financial statements, which typically include detailed performance across its major businesses.
Those operations span semiconductors, memory, smartphones, displays, televisions, home appliances, networking equipment, and other electronics businesses.
The complete earnings report is expected to provide additional information on the factors driving the quarter’s revenue and profitability, including performance across Samsung’s semiconductor and device businesses.
