Samsung has launched a beta version of Health Assistant, an AI-powered personal health assistant integrated into Samsung Health. The feature is available to eligible users in the United States.
Health Assistant is designed to combine information from different areas of a user’s wellness data and convert it into personalized explanations and recommendations. Samsung said the feature can help users better understand patterns that may be difficult to identify by reviewing individual data points.
The assistant draws from five areas within Samsung Health: sleep, physical activity, nutrition, mindfulness and vital signs. It is intended to explain how changes in one category may affect other aspects of a user’s wellness.
Users can ask questions about their health data and receive guidance based on the information available in Samsung Health. They can also view their Energy Score, which summarizes factors associated with their daily readiness and condition.
Samsung said the assistant’s recommendations have been reviewed by physicians and certified health coaches. The feature is intended to support daily wellness monitoring and lifestyle decisions rather than replace professional medical evaluation or treatment.
Health data is often spread across wearable devices, mobile applications and individual services. Samsung is seeking to create a more unified experience by interpreting that information within one conversational interface.
The assistant can identify trends and signals across a user’s recorded information and suggest areas to monitor. The usefulness of its recommendations will depend on the quality, completeness and accuracy of the data collected through Samsung Health and connected devices.
Samsung described the beta as part of its broader Connected Care strategy. The company plans to use AI and continuous health monitoring to help users better understand their physical and mental well-being and potentially recognize changes earlier.
