Samsung Electronics America has introduced the Samsung Galaxy Card, its first credit card for U.S. consumers. The card is issued by Barclays US Consumer Bank and operates on the Visa network.
General applications will open online on July 22, 2026, including for customers shopping at Samsung retail stores in the United States. Eligible early-access customers can apply before the broader launch.
New cardholders can earn $200 in bonus cash rewards after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days of opening an account. Eligibility, approval and rewards remain subject to the card’s terms and conditions.
The Galaxy Card offers 5% cash rewards on eligible purchases made directly through Samsung. Qualifying channels include Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, the Shop Samsung app, Galaxy Store, Samsung Care+, Samsung Secure Wi-Fi, Samsung Smart TV Store and SmartThings Videos.
Cardholders can also earn 3% cash rewards on purchases made through Samsung Wallet. The card provides 2% cash rewards on eligible streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify, along with 1% on other purchases.
Samsung is also offering cardholders a 20% discount on Samsung VIP Advantage. Customers can earn 5% cash rewards when purchasing or renewing a qualifying VIP Advantage membership.
The card will be available digitally through Samsung Wallet and as a premium metal physical card featuring a black Samsung logo. Samsung Wallet can also store compatible payment cards, identification credentials, passes and digital keys.
The Samsung Wallet integration is intended to make the Galaxy Card immediately accessible through compatible Samsung smartphones. Samsung said the experience is supported by Samsung Knox, its on-device security platform.
Samsung is positioning the card as an additional financing and rewards option for customers purchasing Galaxy smartphones, televisions, appliances and other devices. The higher rewards rate for direct Samsung purchases could encourage customers to buy through the company’s own stores and digital channels.
The launch expands Samsung’s ecosystem beyond hardware, software and digital wallet services into consumer financial products. It also gives Barclays another co-branded card partnership and provides Visa with an additional payment product integrated into a major mobile platform.
Samsung did not disclose the card’s annual percentage rate, credit requirements or whether it will charge an annual fee. Consumers should review the full cardholder agreement before applying, particularly if they expect to carry a balance or use promotional financing.
