Sanas announced it has acquired Tomato.ai, strengthening its capabilities in real-time speech processing and accelerating its expansion into carrier and communications platform ecosystems.

The deal, Sanas’s third acquisition in less than two years, enhances its technology stack in areas such as voice transformation, low-latency inference, and real-time speech intelligence. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Tomato.ai brings production-grade integrations across communications platforms, VoIP systems, and carrier-adjacent infrastructure, along with experience operating speech AI in high-volume, real-time environments. These capabilities are expected to accelerate Sanas’s strategy of embedding speech intelligence directly into the infrastructure that powers global communications.

Sanas is focused on delivering a real-time speech processing layer that operates natively within live communications systems, rather than as a standalone application. The combined platform enables capabilities such as speech enhancement, accent transformation, and language understanding to function seamlessly within enterprise and telecom environments where performance, reliability, and low latency are critical.

Following the acquisition, Tomato.ai co-founder Ofer Ronen will join Sanas’s executive team to lead global telecom strategy, driving further integration across carrier networks and communications platforms.

The expanded platform also supports latency-sensitive use cases beyond enterprise communications, including gaming, live streaming, and interactive media, as AI capabilities continue to integrate into real-time communication systems.

Sanas, founded in 2021, has rapidly scaled its business, reaching $62 million in annual recurring revenue and projecting continued growth as demand for real-time speech AI increases across enterprise and platform providers.

KEY QUOTES:

“Voice sits at the center of how enterprises and platforms operate, yet the technology supporting real-time communication has lagged behind. Bringing Tomato.ai into Sanas accelerates our ability to make speech work reliably and consistently anywhere communication happens at scale.”

Sharath Keshava Narayana, CEO And Co-Founder, Sanas

“A lot of speech AI is built as a feature you add on top. At the carrier and platform level, it has to work as part of the system itself. With Sanas, the opportunity is to embed real-time voice intelligence directly into the environments where communication already runs, so it performs reliably under real-world conditions.”

Ofer Ronen, Co-Founder, Tomato.ai

“Real-time speech is becoming something builders can actively shape rather than work around. Tomato.ai’s technology and experience move us faster toward a future where speech behaves predictably and intelligently inside the systems people depend on.”

Shawn Zhang, Co-Founder And CTO, Sanas
