What is Max Serebryakov’s background? Serebryakov said:

“I lived in Russia until the age of 18, then came to the US to get an engineering degree at Stanford. Naturally, I changed my communication patterns to fit in and be better understood. During school, a friend and classmate of mine had to move home to Nicaragua and work in a contact center where he was treated poorly for his accent and consistently scored low on customer reviews. I came to find out that contact center agents are commonly required to go through ‘accent neutralization training’ which unfortunately changes the way people speak forever. This really hit home for me, and I wanted to make sure agents around the world wouldn’t have to continue changing or losing their accents. We started building Sanas with the mission to create a world where every voice is heard and understood, regardless of accent or origin.”
