BELLA+CANVAS announced the completion of its acquisition by SanMar Corporation, marking the beginning of the brand’s next chapter while continuing to operate as an independent brand.
BELLA+CANVAS will remain headquartered in Los Angeles and continue to be led by Executive Vice President Megan Spire, whose nearly 15-year tenure with the company provides continuity across the business.
The acquisition gives BELLA+CANVAS additional resources to accelerate product innovation, product development, quality initiatives, and customer experience while maintaining the creative identity and product philosophy that have defined the brand for nearly three decades.
The company said its creative vision, customer-first approach, and brand positioning will remain unchanged under SanMar’s ownership.
BELLA+CANVAS products will continue to be available directly through the company’s website, its network of long-standing local and regional distributor partners, and through SanMar, which will become the exclusive national wholesale distributor of BELLA+CANVAS products going forward. Customers will also be able to purchase through other national wholesale distributors while inventory remains available.
Local and regional distributor partners include Atlantic Coast Cotton, Carolina Made, McCreary’s Tees, Mission Imprintables, One Stop, SLC Activewear, and Staton.
SanMar said its long-term ownership approach will support BELLA+CANVAS’s continued growth while preserving the entrepreneurial culture and creative direction that have differentiated the brand within the decorated apparel industry.
Looking ahead, BELLA+CANVAS plans to introduce more than 20 new styles in 2027, expanding its portfolio with new products focused on premium quality, elevated design, and improved fit.
