Sanmina announced that it has completed its acquisition of the ZT Systems data center infrastructure manufacturing business from AMD. This transformational move positions the company as a leader in the fast-growing Cloud and AI infrastructure market.
The acquisition significantly enhances Sanmina’s scale, capabilities, and exposure to high-value end markets while establishing a strategic partnership with AMD. As part of the agreement, Sanmina will serve as AMD’s U.S.-based preferred new product introduction (NPI) manufacturing partner, supporting the development and rapid deployment of AMD’s next-generation cloud rack and cluster-scale AI solutions.
The addition of ZT Systems expands Sanmina’s capacity and deepens its global reach with manufacturing facilities in New Jersey, Texas, and the Netherlands, complementing its existing footprint. These state-of-the-art sites feature high-power operations and advanced liquid cooling capabilities—essential for AI data center environments.
Sanmina said the integration will allow it to deliver fully integrated, end-to-end solutions across the product lifecycle—from design and engineering to manufacturing and fulfillment—serving hyperscalers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and other enterprise clients.
This acquisition represents Sanmina’s largest strategic expansion in recent years, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted global partner for mission-critical digital infrastructure.
