Savant Wealth Management Launches Wife2CFO Program For Women Navigating Divorce

Savant Wealth Management has launched Wife2CFO, an online educational program designed to help women better understand and manage the financial decisions that arise during and after divorce.

The program was created by Michelle Smith, CDFA, managing director and financial advisor in Savant’s New York City office. Wife2CFO combines self-paced online learning modules with live check-ins led by Smith and other Savant financial advisors, giving participants opportunities to ask questions and apply financial concepts to their own situations.

Wife2CFO is designed particularly for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth women and covers financial planning fundamentals, wealth management, investing, behavioral finance, tax considerations, risk management, and post-divorce financial decision-making. The program is available through Savant Academy for $2,000.

Smith originally created Wife2CFO in 2020 after observing that many accomplished women she advised felt uncomfortable participating in financial decisions because a spouse had traditionally handled the family’s finances. She has spent approximately 30 years advising women navigating divorce and brings experience as a financial advisor, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and former divorce mediator.

The program is intended to help participants better understand the financial concepts and questions that can become especially important when a marriage ends. By becoming more familiar with investing, financial planning, taxes, and risk management, participants can take a more active role in conversations with financial, legal, and other professional advisors.

The launch also expands Savant Wealth Management’s educational resources for clients navigating major life transitions. The independent, fee-only registered investment adviser serves clients with approximately $56.6 billion in assets under management and $2.2 billion in assets under advisement as of September 30, 2026.

KEY QUOTES:

“I’ve worked with intelligent, successful women who told me they didn’t have the ‘math gene’ or felt uncomfortable participating in financial discussions because a spouse had traditionally handled those decisions. At the same time, these women were leading businesses, managing households, raising families, and solving complex problems every day. I created Wife2CFO to help women feel confident about their finances. The goal is to provide education, tools, and support that help women understand the concepts, questions, and conversations that often become critically important during divorce.”

Michelle Smith, Managing Director And Financial Advisor At Savant Wealth Management

“Divorce is one of the most significant life transitions many people will experience, and it often comes with financial decisions that can feel overwhelming. Savant shares Michelle Smith’s passion to help women learn how to become the CFO of their lives. Throughout her career, Michelle has shown she can meet women where they are, explain financial topics in plain language, and create a space where women feel free to ask questions. Wife2CFO reflects that same approach.”
