Savills has completed its acquisition of Eastdil Secured for an enterprise value of approximately $1.11 billion, or £827 million. The deal brings together Savills’ global real estate advisory platform with Eastdil Secured’s real estate investment banking business. Savills initially announced the proposed acquisition on March 12, 2026.
The combination is intended to strengthen Savills’ position across real estate capital markets, investment banking and broader advisory services while accelerating the company’s expansion in North America.
It also expands Savills’ capabilities across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific by combining the firms’ service offerings, client relationships and geographic footprints.
Eastdil Secured has been rebranded as Eastdil Secured Savills and will continue operating under its existing business model as Savills Group’s real estate investment bank.
The business advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, continuation vehicles, joint ventures, property sales, debt placement, structured credit and loan sales.
Savills said the combined organization will become the world’s second-largest advisory firm for prime commercial real estate transactions valued above $100 million.
The acquisition was financed through a combination of loan funding and newly issued Savills ordinary shares.
The shares issued in connection with the transaction represent approximately 16% of Savills’ enlarged share capital.
Guggenheim, Temasek, Wells Fargo, members of Eastdil Secured’s leadership team and other senior Eastdil Secured employees received Savills shares in exchange for their existing interests in the business.
The equity component makes the former Eastdil Secured owners and executives shareholders in Savills, aligning them with the performance of the combined company.
Eastdil Secured Savills will maintain key headquarters in New York, Santa Monica and London. Its 21 existing offices will become part of Savills’ international network, which spans more than 70 countries.
Roy H. March will serve as Executive Chairman of Eastdil Secured Savills, with responsibility for client advisory and transaction execution.
D. Michael Van Konynenburg will serve as CEO and oversee daily operations, strategy and major client relationships.
James McCaffrey will serve as President and lead the company’s international growth efforts from London.
Van Konynenburg and McCaffrey will also join the Savills Group Executive Board.
Savills said the acquisition creates a more comprehensive platform capable of serving real estate clients across the full property lifecycle.
The combined organization will pair Eastdil Secured Savills’ capital markets and investment banking capabilities with Savills’ occupier services, leasing, valuation, consulting, property management and other advisory operations.
Savills has more than 42,000 professionals worldwide and operates across commercial and prime residential real estate markets.
