SBI Funds Management has appointed Amol Joshi as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective October 1, 2026, strengthening its senior finance leadership following the retirement of outgoing CFO Inderjeet Ghuliani.
The company’s Board of Directors approved Joshi’s appointment on September 29 following recommendations from its Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee. Ghuliani retired at the close of business on September 30 after reaching the age of superannuation, making the transition a planned leadership succession.
Joshi brings approximately 32 years of experience across financial services, banking, lending and financial technology. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of TransUnion CIBIL, where he had held the CFO position since December 2021.
Before joining TransUnion CIBIL, Joshi was Chief Financial Officer of IndoStar Capital Finance. He previously served as Group Head of Finance at L&T Financial Services and spent more than a decade at Standard Chartered Bank in several finance leadership roles. His career also includes experience with American Express Bank and Oracle Financial Services.
The breadth of Joshi’s experience gives SBI Funds Management a finance executive who has worked across credit information services, non-bank lending, banking and diversified financial services. In his new role, he joins the company’s senior leadership team as it continues to expand its investment management business and operate as one of India’s largest asset managers.
Joshi joins a leadership group that includes Managing Director and CEO Debasish Mishra, Executive Director and Deputy CEO Denys Charles Jean Marie Fougeroux De Campigneulles, and Chief Compliance Officer, Company Secretary and Head Legal Vinaya Datar.
The appointment also comes shortly after SBI Funds Management’s stock market debut in July 2026. The company completed a ₹9,813 crore initial public offering structured entirely as an offer for sale by State Bank of India and Amundi India Holding. The IPO was subscribed more than 41 times, according to ETBFSI.
SBI Funds Management was established in 1992 and is backed by State Bank of India and France-based asset manager Amundi. Its investment offerings span equity, fixed income, hybrid strategies, exchange-traded funds and portfolio management services.
Joshi’s appointment gives the company an experienced finance leader as it navigates its next phase as a publicly traded asset management business, with responsibility for supporting financial reporting, governance and the broader financial operations of the organization.
