Scale Computing, an edge computing and network solutions provider, announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Adaptiv Networks, a cloud-native software-defined wide-area network and secure access service edge provider.
The deal is designed to expand Scale Computing’s SC//AcuVigil managed network solutions with integrated SD-WAN connectivity, enhanced network performance optimization, and centralized orchestration across distributed environments. The deal also strengthens the company’s presence in Canada.
The acquisition aligns with Scale Computing’s broader edge computing and network convergence strategy, combining infrastructure, security, and connectivity into a unified platform for distributed enterprises. By integrating Adaptiv Networks’ cloud-native SD-WAN and SASE capabilities, Scale Computing aims to deliver secure, resilient connectivity that seamlessly integrates with its managed networking and edge computing software and services.
Adaptiv Networks’ platform is built to simplify wide-area network management while improving performance, reliability, and security. Its offerings support enterprise SD-WAN deployments, business cloud connectivity, and remote VPN access, targeting both growing businesses with limited IT resources and large distributed organizations. Together, the two companies will serve a combined customer base of more than 9,000 organizations across industries such as quick-service restaurants, retail, and other multi-site operations worldwide.
Following the close of the transaction, Scale Computing expects to offer Adaptiv Networks’ solutions immediately, both as standalone products and as part of bundled managed networking platforms delivered through its channel partner ecosystem. Adaptiv’s Connect and Elfiq SD-WAN solutions will be marketed under the SC//Connect brand.
Scale Computing’s broader portfolio includes AcuVigil managed network solutions with 24/7 network operations support and self-service visibility tools; Fleet Manager edge orchestration solutions with Zero-Touch Provisioning capabilities; the Scale Computing Platform for unified, high-availability edge infrastructure; and the Reliant Platform as a Service, a hardware- and cloud-agnostic edge computing platform designed to help multi-site businesses manage applications, networks, and security controls at scale.
