Science4Beauty has raised €1.6 million in funding to scale sales, accelerate research and development of additional bioactive molecules and support international expansion. The round was led by 4growth VC, with participation from Hard2beat and business angels.
Warsaw-based Science4Beauty develops recombinant proteins and bioactive peptides for advanced skincare, dermatology and aesthetic medicine using its proprietary genetic engineering platform.
The company’s flagship offering is the Miorelaxant Magic product line, which uses a proprietary recombinant conotoxin inspired by molecules found in sea snail venom. The active ingredient is designed to relax facial muscles and smooth wrinkles as a non-invasive alternative or complement to aesthetic procedures.
Science4Beauty said clinical testing showed up to a 48% reduction in wrinkle depth. The company also reported that regular use extended the effects of botulinum toxin treatments by approximately 60 days.
Beyond its existing skincare products, Science4Beauty is developing additional applications for its technology, including treatments targeting hyperhidrosis and rosacea, as well as new delivery methods such as microneedle patches.
The company plans to use the new capital to increase production capacity and establish distribution channels in international markets.
Science4Beauty currently commercializes products through two primary channels: direct B2B sales to aesthetic medicine clinics and direct-to-consumer ecommerce.
The company has launched five products to date and generated more than PLN 500,000, or approximately €115,000, in 2025 revenue without marketing spending.
Science4Beauty operates its own Category I GMM-certified genetic engineering laboratory and holds patent filings across 10 jurisdictions.
Earlier development was supported by more than PLN 10 million, or approximately €2.3 million, in grant funding from Poland’s National Centre for Research and Development.
Founded in 2020, Science4Beauty’s founding team includes Magdalena Janczewska, Anna Mazurkiewicz-Pisarek, Ph.D., Alina Mazurkiewicz and Agata Stefanek, with Prof. Tomasz Ciach serving as scientific advisor.
