SciFin Raises $44 Million Seed Funding Co-Led By Altimeter And Madrona

SciFin has officially launched from stealth mode, securing an impressive $44 million in seed funding co-led by prominent venture capital firms Altimeter Capital and Madrona Venture Group. The round also drew contributions from several other noteworthy investors, including Foundation Capital, S32, Zetta Ventures, and others who share a vision for innovative technological solutions.

Founded in 2024 by Mohit Aron—co-founder of Nutanix and founder of Cohesity—SciFin is setting its sights on solving a pervasive issue in revenue organizations: fragmented critical information across multiple domains. These domains include accounts, deals, forecasts, sales representatives, territories, customer interactions, and operational workflows. SciFin aims to knit these disparate data points into a cohesive, continuously updated operational picture that teams can easily access and understand.

The company has identified what it calls the “Context Gap”: the disconnect between the vast reservoirs of information companies possess and the actionable context teams need to make informed decisions. To bridge this gap, SciFin has developed an AI-powered companion named Pixie. Pixie effectively transforms the meticulously maintained operational picture into actionable insights, comprehensive reports, and tailored recommendations, enabling teams to act with more clarity and confidence.

The platform is designed to reduce the administrative burden on sales representatives, allowing them to focus on core responsibilities like preparing for client meetings. At the same time, it equips sales managers with prioritized coaching insights and enables sales leaders, Revenue Operations (RevOps) experts, and finance teams to identify potential risks and generate insightful reports based on the same foundational data.

The newly acquired funding will play a pivotal role in driving product development and advancing SciFin’s go-to-market strategy. It will also support customer acquisition and advance the company’s broader mission to address the Context Gap within enterprises, ensuring teams have the context they need to succeed.

KEY QUOTES:

“We need to move from systems of record to systems of reality. As a CEO, I expect my teams to spend time helping the business grow. Instead, we find ourselves spending an enormous amount of time gathering information to diagnose what was actually happening with our customers, our development teams and our revenue operations. Everything requires a meeting. The more we dig into it, the more we realize this isn’t a people problem. It is a context problem.”

Mohit Aron, Founder and CEO of SciFin

“Mohit is one of the rare founders who has built and scaled category-defining enterprise companies twice, first at Nutanix and then at Cohesity. SciFin comes directly from his experience running those businesses: leaders drowning in data but starving for context.”
