Scorpio Gold Drills 3.02 G/T Gold Over 48.92 Metres At Manhattan Project

Scorpio Gold reported new Phase Two drilling results from its Manhattan District Project in Nevada, including an intercept of 3.02 grams per ton of gold over 48.92 meters from 118.87 meters at the Goldwedge target.

Hole 26MN-115 included a higher-grade section of 19.29 g/t gold over 5.24 meters from 151.79 meters in the Zanzibar Formation. The hole also returned 5.14 g/t gold over 10.15 meters from 173.58 meters and 0.46 g/t over 16.70 meters from 210.92 meters.

Hole 26MN-118 returned 1.19 g/t gold over 99.94 meters from 98.61 meters, including 5.13 g/t over 4.18 meters.

At the Zanzibar Trend, hole 26MN-116 returned 0.93 g/t gold over 22.16 meters, including 3.72 g/t over 3.75 meters, along with a second intercept grading 0.84 g/t over 25.05 meters, including 3.63 g/t over 3.47 meters.

Scorpio Gold has completed 114 holes totaling 32,585 meters in its Phase Two diamond drilling program. Assays have been reported for 107 holes totaling 30,889 meters, with results pending for seven holes totaling another 1,696 meters.

The company said drilling at Goldwedge is helping define mineralization associated with the Reliance Fault. Holes 26MxN-115 and 26MN-118 were approximately 50-meter step-outs from previously identified high-grade mineralization.

The Manhattan District’s current maiden mineral resource covering Goldwedge and Manhattan Pit contains 18.34 million tons grading 1.26 g/t gold for 740,000 ounces of inferred gold. A separate historical estimate covering several additional areas totals 303,949 ounces, although Scorpio Gold is not treating it as a current mineral resource.
