Scorpion Acquires Coalmarch Marketing To Expand Pest Control And Lawn Care Platform

Scorpion has acquired Coalmarch Marketing, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based digital marketing agency focused on the pest-control and lawn-care industries. The transaction brings Coalmarch’s employees, client relationships, and more than two decades of vertical-specific marketing experience into Scorpion’s platform.

Coalmarch was founded in 2004 and has built its business around SEO, paid search, website development, and marketing services tailored to pest and lawn-care operators. Scorpion said the acquisition deepens its investment in those verticals and gives Coalmarch customers access to a broader technology and data stack while retaining the industry expertise they already use.

A key part of the combination is Scorpion’s RevenueMAX platform, an AI-powered solution designed to connect marketing activity with measurable revenue rather than only lead volume. Scorpion plans to make that technology available to Coalmarch clients while continuing to support the team’s existing relationships and operating model.

The acquisition also fits Scorpion’s broader M&A strategy of expanding through specialized agencies and vertical expertise. Management said the Coalmarch team adds another established business in an area where Scorpion already has a meaningful customer base and expects continued investment in technology, data, and service delivery.

Coalmarch CEO Jeff Davis said the companies have developed a relationship over time and share a commitment to client growth. Scorpion, which provides digital marketing and technology solutions to local businesses, said it intends to preserve Coalmarch’s high-touch approach while adding resources that can support larger-scale customer acquisition and retention programs.

The announcement also reflects a broader effort to scale the core business while preserving the operating capabilities, customer relationships, and market expertise already in place. Management’s near-term focus is on execution of the transaction or growth plan described above, integration of the relevant teams and technology, and continued investment in the products and services that support existing customers. The next phase will focus on execution, continuity for customers and partners, and scaling the core platform described in the announcement.
