Scuba Emerges From Stealth With $34 Million To Build Shared Context Engine For Teams And AI Agents

Scuba has emerged from stealth with $34 million raised across pre-seed and Seed rounds to build what it describes as a shared context engine for teams and their AI agents. Accel led the pre-seed round, while IVP joined Accel to co-lead the Seed financing. BoxGroup, Conviction, Homebrew, and Scribble Ventures also participated. Scuba’s angel investors include founders from companies including Slack, Instagram, Stripe, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Datadog, Vanta, Harvey, Dropbox, Abridge, Duolingo, Granola, Warp, Zynga, Groupon, Coda, Opendoor, and Flatiron Health.

Scuba is designed to give employees and AI agents access to a continually updated body of shared organizational context. Teams can save articles, screenshots, documents, videos, threads, text messages, voice notes, and internal write-ups from browsers, applications, and AI agents.

The platform automatically organizes those materials while tracking how a team’s knowledge, decisions, and direction change over time. Scuba can connect with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Slack so outputs generated through those systems can incorporate context developed across the organization.

Scuba was founded by Noah Desai Weiss, the former Chief Product Officer of Slack, and Dolapo Falola, formerly Head of Engineering at The Browser Company and an engineering leader at Slack and Meta. The pair have worked together since 2011 across Google, Foursquare, and Slack.

The platform includes tools for capturing and summarizing information, organizing shared collections around initiatives such as launches and strategic accounts, surfacing emerging trends and potential conflicts, and generating proposals grounded in a team’s accumulated knowledge.

Scuba said hundreds of early users have tested the product during a six-month private beta, using it for product development, launches, customer feedback, company strategy, and new-market exploration.

The new funding will support product expansion, hiring, and go-to-market efforts. Scuba is opening its limited beta to teams in waves.

KEY QUOTES:

“The frontier models aren’t iintelligence-bound They’re context constrained. That’s why we’re building Scuba. So people never lose a great idea again. For companies that want to move smarter together. For teams with a mind of their own. We aim to be the 1% of AI spend that makes the other 99% pay off.”

Noah Desai Weiss, Co-Founder And CEO Of Scuba

“Breakthrough products have the power to change how teams work together. Slack did it for team communication with channels. Cursor did it for writing code with AI. Now Scuba is doing it for team alignment with shared context.”

Andrew Braccia, Partner At Accel

“Without understanding a team’s shared judgment, agents can never achieve their full potential. Noah and Dolapo spent their careers getting the right information to the right people at the right moment, which is why we knew they were the right founders to solve this problem.”

Shravan Narayen, General Partner At IVP
