SDR Ventures has added investment banking veteran Matt Huebner as a partner, bringing more than 20 years of experience spanning mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, business valuations, and strategic consulting as the Denver-based firm looks to expand its advisory platform and accelerate business development.
In his new role, Huebner will advise SDR clients on sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, capital formation initiatives, and broader strategic advisory engagements. He will also work closely with SDR’s senior leadership team to support growth efforts and deepen relationships across the lower middle market.
Huebner most recently co-founded OnRamp Advisors in 2023, where he advised early- and growth-stage companies on strategic initiatives and supported growth capital raises. Earlier, he began his career as an investment banking analyst at Headwaters MB, which later merged with Capstone Partners. At Capstone, Huebner went on to build and lead the firm’s private placement desk, working closely with emerging and growth-stage businesses on capital solutions.
SDR leaders said the hire strengthens the firm’s ability to serve owners and management teams across the full lifecycle of a transaction, particularly on capital raising and strategic advisory work that often runs parallel to M&A.

Over the course of his career, Huebner has completed more than 50 engagements across multiple industries, including both domestic and cross-border transactions. His background includes capital raises, strategic advisory assignments, and sell-side and buy-side M&A work, positioning him to support SDR clients as they pursue liquidity events, acquisitions, or long-term value-creation plans.
