Sean Giancola will step down as Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of New York Post Media Group after more than a decade with the company, including approximately seven years leading the organization. A search for a successor is underway.
Giancola will remain with the Post through early 2027 to help ensure a smooth transition.
He joined the company in 2015 as Chief Revenue Officer.
During his leadership tenure, the Post returned to profitability after years of losses and accelerated its transition toward a digital-first media strategy.
Giancola also oversaw the expansion of the New York Post brand beyond its traditional New York market.
That included the launch of The California Post as part of an expansion onto the West Coast.
He also oversaw the launch of Page Six Hollywood.
Before joining the Post, Giancola served as Vice President of National Sales at AOL Advertising.
Earlier in his career, he held senior advertising and marketing roles at American Express and Time Inc.
News Corp executives credited Giancola with strengthening the Post’s commercial position and helping transform the organization into a more national and digitally focused media business.
