How Securiti Enables The Safe Use Of Data And GenAI

By Amit Chowdhry • Oct 26, 2023

Securiti is a pioneer of the Data Command Center, a centralized platform that enables the safe use of data and GenAI. The company provides unified data intelligence, controls, and orchestration across hybrid multi-cloud environments. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Michelle Graff, channel veteran and VP of Global Alliances & Channels at Securiti, to learn more.

Michelle Graff’s Background

Graff joined the Securiti team a little over a year ago and currently serves as Vice President of Global Channels & Alliances.

“I have spent the past 15+ years helping technology startups (Palo Alto Networks, Pure Storage HashiCorp, and now Securiti) build high-performing and revenue-generating teams, accelerating their customer adoption and resulting in achieving hyper-growth momentum and three (3) consecutive initial private offerings (IPOs),” Graff said. “Additionally, I have accumulated decades of experience working across the channel, direct sales, marketing, and business development functions at iconic technology organizations such as VERITAS, Symantec, and MCI/Worldcom.”

“Since joining the Securiti team in 2022, I have built a partner ecosystem across cloud solution providers, system integrators, resellers, and alliance partners, generating new indirect revenue for the organization. A primary goal was incorporating investments in our partners that align to how our customers consume technology and identifying new routes to market that will accelerate Securiti’s customer acquisition and adoption.”

“In overseeing the Unified Partner Program (UPP), I am leading the team’s shift toward both a channel-first sales model with a goal of moving 100% of enterprise business to transact with the channel and partner-led solutions and services to help our customers realize greater value in their investments. Securiti’s mission is to help support our partners and customers who are currently navigating an increasingly complex data landscape and working to meet a host of overlapping data security, compliance, and governance obligations.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working for Securiti so far? Graff shared:

“Announcing each of our partner segment leaders for CSP, GSI, and RSI businesses along with uncovering new opportunities with MSSP partners for Securiti’s Breach Impact Analysis.”

Core Products

What are Securiti’s core products and features? Graff explained:

“Securiti’s core offering is the DataControls Cloud, a singular cloud solution for complete data intelligence and controls across multi-cloud, SaaS, and private cloud environments. Our solution acts as a centralized Data Command Center, addressing a number of use cases, including data asset discovery, sensitive data intelligence, data security posture management (DSPM), data access intelligence and governance (DAIG), data flow intelligence and governance, data catalog, data lineage, data privacy automation, data consent automation, data breach impact analysis and response, data controls orchestration, and more.”

“By offering enterprises one central Data Command Center for unified intelligence and controls, Securiti is helping organizations meet their evolving data obligations and overcome the growing challenges of hyper-scale multi-cloud data environments.”

Evolution Of Securiti’s Technology

How has Securiti’s technology evolved since launching? Graff noted:

“Originally founded in 2018, Securiti is rooted in harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to get granular data insights that help address privacy, security, governance, and compliance obligations. Securiti changed the privacy market by pioneering PrivacyOps, a modern approach to operationalizing privacy management harness on real-time data intelligence vs. relying on outdated manual processes and surveys.”

“Securiti followed with additional use cases to address security and governance requirements, helping organizations build a holistic Data Command Center. These include data access intelligence and governance, breach impact analysis, data security posture management, and more.”

“Instead of relying on disparate tools and keeping teams boxed into organizational silos, Securiti’s approach of unified data controls eliminates existing barriers between teams and streamlines the ability of organizations to successfully meet data obligations around security, privacy, governance, and compliance.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of Securiti’s most significant milestones? Graff cited:

“Over the past few years, Securiti has been recognized as RSA’s Most Innovative Startup, Forrester’s Privacy Management Wave Leader, and Gartner’s Cool Vendor in Data Security.”

“The introduction of the UPP, aligned to unify our partner ecosystem and customers, is one of Securiti’s most significant recent milestones and a project to which I have been very proud to contribute. A next-generation partner program is something we are thrilled to bring to the market and will go a long way toward driving the adoption of UDC across all data platforms and environments.”

Funding

When asked about the company’s funding,Graff revealed:

“Securiti recently announced investments from both Capital One Ventures and Citi Ventures. The investment from the venture capital arms of two of the top 10 U.S. banks follows a $75 million Series C funding round held in October 2022. The company enjoyed a successful fiscal year 2022, which saw 4x growth in total contract value (TCV) and over 3x growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR).”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates Securiti from its competition? Graff affirmed:

“Securiti was the first to launch a Data Command Center, which unifies data intelligence with automation and controls, enabling organizations to holistically address their obligations on data across hybrid multicloud. Its modern architecture provides unique scalability, breadth of coverage, and granular data insights to empower a wide range of use cases. Since the product’s inception, Securiti has demonstrated a unique understanding of the challenges facing today’s enterprises. With the market momentum and additional funding that the company has secured, Securiti will be able to bolster the solution and continue delivering the automation that enables large organizations to fuel innovation with data at scale.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of Securiti’s future company goals? Graff concluded:

“Ultimately, Securiti’s goal is to continue driving the adoption of a centralized data command center that helps large enterprises manage the modern hyperscale cloud systems with which they operate.”

“We are fortunate to work intimately with some of the world’s largest companies and help them realize the benefits of a unified data controls framework. Additionally, we are continuing to work closely with major partners, including global system integrators and cloud service providers, to facilitate more widespread adoption of this powerful unified architecture.”

“Businesses across industries are constantly looking at their data to reveal the next big insight or innovation. Our vision is to stand alongside those organizations and help establish the parameters they need in order to fully unleash the power of their data without sacrificing security, privacy, governance, and compliance along the way.”
