SEI Names Adam Hartstein As Managing Director Of Chicago Office

SEI, an employee-owned management consulting firm, announced the appointment of Adam Hartstein as Managing Director of its Chicago office, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to expanding its presence in a key Midwest market. Hartstein brings more than 20 years of experience in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformation.

Hartstein joins SEI after a 15-year tenure at Point B, where he rose to Vice President of Strategy and Transformation and built a successful M&A practice. His background also includes roles at boutique consulting firms focused on marketing and logistics strategy, as well as experience as an internal consultant and program manager at Northern Trust. Earlier in his career, he supported international nonprofit organizations and led integration efforts in Europe for Brightpoint.

A longtime Chicago-area resident, Hartstein has lived in the region for over 25 years and currently resides in Wilmette, Illinois, with his family. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.

His appointment signals continued investment by SEI in Chicago and the broader Midwest, with a focus on delivering human-centered solutions, organizational design, and strategy execution for clients across the region.

Founded in 1992, SEI operates across 13 markets in the United States with more than 600 employees. The firm has maintained a presence in Chicago since 2014 and continues to grow its footprint.
